I was born in Wellington and raised in the heart of rural South Island of New Zealand and always had a huge desire to explore New Zealand and then the world!
I studied a Diploma in Hotel Management in Christchurch and then moved to work in Auckland at the Hyatt Hotel and then Quality Hotels. Working in hospitality fuelled my desire to travel and I went to London to see what all the fuss was about. For the next 2.5 years I spent my summers travelling and working in London and my winters running a chalet in France.
After a short stint at home, where my husband and I met, we travelled and worked in Australia, France, Spain and lastly Ireland. Having travelled extensively overseas to such amazing places as Asia, Turkey, Egypt and Europe I feel I have an understanding that although we are different people we all have the same emotions and go through similar experiences in life and it is often our different way of dealing with those situations that mould us into who we are.
While working in promotions at The Irish Times newspaper in Dublin I visited the photography department often and realised, that what had up until then been a passion, could also be a career. We returned to NZ and after studying a Diploma in Professional Photography at Christchurch Polytechnic Institute of Technology I have lived in Lake Tekapo and now New Plymouth where I have been building up my own business.
My work consists of a range of photography including weddings, portraiture, freelance for media, landscape for exhibition and sale, commercial promotional photos for brochures, websites, signs, posters…
